Happy Halloween!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Halloween!

I've been running around like crazy to get ready for Trick or Treating this evening, but tomorrow I'll be finishing up my KGB training and posting my final tally for my October earnings!

Remember, I only count deposits that are spendable in my earnings, not payments that are still building up or are in route to me :)

I'm doing two things to celebrate here on my blog:
1. I'm reminding everyone that I'm still giving away Lockerz codes, to get yours fill out this form.
2. I'm sharing a tip that was given to me about Club Bing. Since so many of the games are based off scrambled letters, find a free Anagram site and use it to help you find those words that elude you on their scrambled letter games!

Have a safe evening everyone!

October "Digest"

All right folks here it goes... the Reader's Digest Version of October. The good and the bad, the GPT and the Surveys, etc. It's not particularly short either, but it is a compilation of everything!

I'm a bit jaded, I feel like I should jazz this post up with some buttons instead of the regular hyperlinks but I don't know. I don't want this to feel like an ad post - but I don't want it to be bland either.

Feel free to leave feedback on what you think of the posting format (or anything at all) after you read it!

PS: Sorry it's up so late, it took a LOT more time than I realized and came out a lot less condensed than I'd hoped hehe

Also, a few of the payment totals and Proof of Payment links may not match up yet either (off by a few dollars, or $10 in the case of Wanelo) this is because I was so busy creating this post today, that I didn't have time to update my picture files.

__________
~*~Gift Cards and Gift Sites~*~
These are the sites I've been working with that offer their rewards in gift cards and prizes.
--------------

iRazoo

I am really glad that I took the time to check out iRazoo. The site is simple, easy to use, and everyone can easily earn 3 cards totally $15 a month from them without ever referring a single person to the site. Remember $15 a month is $180 a year! I personally plan to save these cards up (and those from SwagBucks) for gift occasions like birthdays and Christmas, or use them for emergency purchases.

How it Works: Each day you can earn 300 points using the search function on their site and visiting the results that pop up. 8 points are awarded for answering yes or no to "would you recommend this site" and 8 points are awarded for leaving a comment about the site. You have to remain on the site for 30 seconds before you can vote, but you can do things on other tabs on your browser during that time so it's not a big deal. It's really a pretty quick process and every 10 days you'll reach the 3000 points required for a $5 Amazon card.

Referral Bonus: 50 points per referral!

Earnings: Since I signed up on 10/16 I've earned one $5 Amazon card and am at 2048/3000 for another $5 Amazon card. I requested my card on 10/24 and as soon as I get it I'll post the proof!
__________
Search & Win
SwagBucks

Even though I hit a little bump in the road with Swagbucks (they accused me of "over clicking" because I was supposedly looking at too many of the sites pull up in my search) I would still recommend them. I signed up with them on 10/16/09 but I didn't actually start utilizing the service until the next day but I still managed to request my first $5 Amazon card from them on 10/28.

While I prefer the sure fire earning from iRazoo, I would still suggest Swagbucks as well. With Amazon cards priced at 45 Swagbucks earning two a month should be pretty easy, even without referrals. I feel that between the two of them, I should be pretty well set for Christmas and birthdays all throughout 2010.

How it Works: Use their search function for the chance to win Swagbucks. You won't always win them, but if you do a few searches in the morning, afternoon, and evening, you'll probably get 2-3 wins in that time. They also have contests, reward codes, and other ways to earn. I typically just search and enter the special codes from Twitter or their blog when I find one though.

Referrals: They have two ways to earn through referrals. You can become an affiliate and earn $1 per referral or you can just refer members to the site and earn Swagbucks every time they earn Swagbucks - up to 100 from each referral. Overall that's a far better reward, but that's only true if your referals stick with the site long enough to earn more than 9 Swagbucks (equal to $1 worth of a $5 Amazon card.)

Even though it's risky I prefer to just go for straight referrals instead of doing the affiliate thing.

Earnings: Since 10/17 I've earned $5 Amazon card and 7/45 for another $5 Amazon card. I requested my first gift card on 10/28 and as soon as I get it, I'll be sure to post the proof!
__________
Lockerz.com

I personally enjoy this site because it takes me longer to log in than it does to earn my points. You get two points for logging in each day, 2 points for answering the daily survey question, and 2 points for each person you refer to the site. Another thing to note is that the day you join you get to play a one time only game to catch bonus points! I caught around 30 hehe

You cash in your points for a variety of prizes (although since they're in their early stages many prizes are not yet available) such as Ipods (200+ points), video games (100+ points), gift certificates (250+ points), sporting goods (varies widely) or you can even use your points to donate to several different charities (5+ points)!

Even though most of the better prizes aren't up for grabs yet, I like the idea of being ahead of the curve so that when they are available I'll be closer to getting them than newer folks will.

The downside to Lockerz.com is that you have to be invited through their website by a current member so if you'd like an invite please request one from me here.

Referrals: 2 points per referral, once you refer 20 members you get double points for a year!

Earnings: 120 Points since 10/7
__________
ClubBing

ClubBing.com sounded like a really great site to me initially, but after tinkering with it for a few days I found the point earning to be really monotonous. I was really excited because they offer some really great prizes like Microsoft Office, video games and more. The initial earning was simple, but as it went on and I completed some of the easier games I found that they don't seem to reset leaving you with games that aren't worth the time for the amount of tickets you earn.

They do have "double ticket" days, so I'm planning to stick around and use those days to continue earning. If worse comes to worst I'll just donate my earned tickets to a charity on their.

How it Works: Play games, earn points, trade them in for prizes!

Earnings: 1,979 tickets
_________
~*~GPT Sites~*~
GPT sites require patience! The money adds up, but it adds up slowly. I operate under the fact that every little bit helps, because quite honestly, every little bit does help.
These sites will also offer quicker turn around times if you are able to round up a few referals through message boards or websites that you're part of.
-------------

TrekPay

TrekPay is an interesting twist on most PTC (Paid To Click) sites. Instead of being awarded for each click, they award you credits and convert a portion of those credits into cash once a week. While the credit to cent ratio seems a bit low, I really feel that you make more in a week with TrekPay than you do with any other PTC.

I like them because unlike every other PTC Site, there is NO timer on how long you have to look at the site to get credit. They do expect you to look at it briefly though to make sure that if their symbol appears on the page you click it... but the symbol is rarely there and all you really have to do is scroll up and down once to check then move on to the next link.

Referrals: You get credit for advertising purchases made by your referrals (10%) and you also get extra credits when they sign up. As far as I can tell it's just 15 credits per referral once, but I could be wrong - the site doesn't really disclose it either.

Earnings: $3.05 since 10/1/09 in the following breakdown (70¢, 70¢, 71¢, 94¢)

Cash out Req: $5
__________

CashCrate

I really haven't but an adequate amount of time into CashCrate, so I haven't cashed out yet, but I did once back in 2008 with them so I know they're legit. I'm actually adding them to my list to focus on more from now on. Last month I only did a few offers and one survey so I didn't take advantage of CashCrate's full earning potential. Purely based off their surveys you can earn up to $1.60 a day, or $48 in a 30 day month without any referrals which is pretty impressive. Time to stop slacking on this one!

If you do choose to do offers, I would suggest using an alternate email when you sign up with CashCrate and do the offers (not your usual one) because I usually see an influx of spam once I start doing the offers. This is easily solved by having a secondary email though!

How it Works: They have hundreds of "offers" available on their site and pay you varying amounts to complete them. They also offer two surveys paying 80¢ each daily and have a referral program as well.

Referrals: They pay you 20% of your level one referral earnings and 10% of your level two earnings. On top of that, when your direct referrals reach $10 you earn $3! It's a pretty great referral set up over all if you can get folks to sign up.

Earnings: $7.23 since 9/24 but I didn't put any real time into earning with them this month

Cash out Req: $20
__________

NeoBux

NeoBux has been a pretty good experience for me. It fits the standard PTC model, you earn up to 1¢ per ad that you view for 30 seconds. Some ads pay less for shorter views and some pay more for longer views, although I've never seen one for more than 30 seconds.

Since I signed up on 9/21/09 I've earned a total of $3.56, but I invested $1.50 of that back into "renting referrals" to increase my earnings. They don't offer a lot of ads, usually 5-8 a day if you check back often so it is a slow earning process. Referrals are definitely the way to go with a site like this since they speed the process up tremendously although it still takes a bit of patience. Remember, every penny counts!

Referrals: As a regular member you get a 1/2¢ per referral click, but this quickly adds up and multiplies. If you choose to become a paying member (which I have not, and probably will not) you earn 1¢ per click.

Earnings: $3.56 earned since 9/21 (I reinvested $1.50 for additional referrals though.)

Cash Out Req: $2 (I have reached this amount, but am waiting to cash out until I've earned a bit more.)
__________
SuperNovaBux

SuperNovaBux is a newer PTC that is pretty much set up exactly like NeoBux in terms of the basics. However, the ads are a lot less frequent. I only get two a day to be quite honest, but I expect that to go up as they age.

How it Works: Sign up, click ads, wait 30 seconds then click the matching numbers at the top of he ad and earn 1¢.

Referrals: Earn 1¢ per referral click, and 1/2¢ for each click their referrals make.

Earnings: $1.025 since 9/28

Cash Out Req: $2
__________
ClixSense

ClixSense is also a very standard PTC program, but I actually like it a bit more than NeoBux style programs because it seems to offer more clicks through out the day. They claim that you can find ads for more than just 1¢ but so far that's all I've come across - and quite honestly because there are so many I'm quite fine with it.

In two days with ClixSense I've earned 40¢ just by checking in and clicking periodically.

How it Works: Sign up, click ads, wait 30 seconds and move to the next ad. You can also pay $10 to upgrade and get more ads but I don't intend to do this. I may however earn the $10 then use it to upgrade if I feel that it's worth it to do so after that long.

Referrals: You don't really earn for your referrals as a regular member (you get 1¢ when they sign up). You do however get $2 if your referrals upgrade their account. If you upgrade your account then you receive 10¢ for each referral, $2 if they upgrade, $1 if their referral upgrades, commisions on clicks made by your referrals, and so on.

$10 for all those benefits may be worth it in the long run, but only if your referrals invest also... I'm jaded but unwilling to donate right now since this blog is aimed at earning without paying for a turn around.

Earnings: 40¢ since 10/28

Cash Out Req: $10 by check only, however when you cash out they charge a $3 processing fee so I suggest waiting until you've accumulated much more than $10.
__________
YouData

YouData is what I consider, the highest quality PTC out there. You get paid to look at the list of ads available, and you get paid to actually follow through and click the ads, which is really innovative. They pay every week no matter how small your balance is, directly to your paypal.

There are two downsides to YouData that I've come across so far though. To start with there aren't very many ads at all, I usually only see one every other week or so for a total of 10¢. Second, they pay every week no matter what your balance is, but they deduct a few cents for paypal processing. I rather let it add up to something more than 20¢ and then cash it out, but maybe that's just me.

Referrals: You can earn up to $1.00 per referral. This is similar to how Swagbucks is set up, you get 1¢ per ad that your referrals view, until you've earned $1.00.

Earnings: $2.24 earned since 9/21 (I've already deducted the processing fees.) YouData Proof of Payment

Cash Out Req: None, sent automatically each week.
__________
~*~Misc Programs~*~
This includes review sites, snail mail sites, and much more.
--------------
CloudCrowd

CloudCrowd is a new up and coming program that is accessed through FaceBook (don't worry it doesn't actually show anything on your FaceBook page). They pay you the next day for all work completed by 5pm Pacific the prior day. They're currently experiencing a lot of growing pains though that are upsetting some of the early users. I personally haven't experienced anything negative though, and I feel that they should be given some slack since they're only a month old.

I still consider this one a good egg and I'm looking forward to seeing them get the bugs worked out so that work will be up 24/7 again.

Work: Workers do random tasks that are posted for the payment listed. It's similar to Mturk but on a much smaller scale and the work only comes from CloudCrowd, it is not posted by external providers.

Referrals: The referral system has some great potential. It goes three levels deep and you earn a percentage of what your Crowd does on each level. Level one is 10.1%, level two is 3.2% and level three is 1.5%.

Earnings: $35.49 earned since 10/6 Cloud Crowd Proof of Payment

Cash Out Req: None, sent automatically, the next day.
__________

PeopleString

Do you get paid to read the junk mail that comes to you door each day? I do! PeopleString has proven to be a pretty impressive setup, although it's a bit slow to start. Once you sign up you are sent a postcard in the mail to validate your address. This took about 3 weeks to reach me and I was losing hope.

About a week after I got it though, I found out that I had 9 more pieces of paying mail headed my way! That's an exciting thought for me. You can earn 25¢ or more per piece depending on what it is... one of the pieces coming to me pays 50¢!

How it works: Sign up, answer a few questions, then enter the confirmation number that you get on your postcard. Each piece of mail from them will include a code that you enter on their site to get credit.

Referrals: As a standard member you get 50¢ per referral plus 5% of their earnings. You also get 2% of the earnings from folks on the 2nd-6th levels of your down line. This is another one of those programs where you can pay to upgrade your status and earn more, but it's rather costly so I won't ever do it.

Earnings: $11.10 earned since 9/29 (not including the mail that's on it's way to me)

Cash Out Req: $25, sent automatically once a month for standard members.
__________
IMReportCard

IMReportCard has great earning potential, but honestly it can be a bit of a rough start. The site is all about rating online marketing sites and programs, and things of that nature so that users can utilize the information to make decisions about whether or not they should get involved in a program.

How it Works: You get paid for doing different things on the site such as commenting on programs, grading sites, and reviewing other comments. The hard part is that you can't do anything until you've had one of your own comments posted and approved. You have to have first hand experience with one of the programs, and most of the easy ones like TrekPay are closed for commentary.

Once you get a comment approved though, you can take advantage of all the other ways to earn on the site and it really adds up quickly - plus it's a really informative site.

Referrals: Their referral program is great (if your referrals get a comment posted) because you earn 100% of what they do. That means if they leave a comment and earn 50¢ so do you!

Earnings: $4.01 earned since 10/3. I didn't invest as much time in the site this month as I meant to. I was doing some comment reviewing everyday, but I started slacking - I plan to spend a few minutes there every day next month though.

Cash Out Req: $20.00
__________
LiveWork

LiveOps launched a freelance Independent Contractor site recently called LiveWork. I really profited from this site last month, but unfortunately they ran into a few of the same problems that Cloud Crowd did. People were taking advantage of the system so now they're having to rework all of their applications and it's taking a while for new projects to come up.

How it Works: Sign up, create a profile, and start applying. Keep in mind that the older jobs probably aren't active anymore. If you apply and don't hear back, send a mail to the provider who posted the job.

I worked on the query projects writing 5-7 sentence answers in response to search queries. Each answer was paid 64¢ and once I got the hang of it I was able to do 12+ an hour giving a decent $7 or more an hour.

Earnings: $68.48 earned since 9/24 LiveWork Proof of Payment
__________
IMShopping

IMShopping is a site that allows you to ask and answer questions about shopping suggestions, pricing, product quality and much more.

How it Works: The standard user has the ability to earn money by answering questions that have a green tip box on them. So long as these questions get more than one answer, the winner of the "Best Answer" title is awarded the tip!

I personally made $24 in tips doing this because almost half of my answers won which is pretty great.

On top of that, IMShopping periodically hires regular users to become Shopping Assistants which means that you then get paid for every answer you give, whether it wins "Best Answer" or not! I just got offered this position last Wednesday and I have a training session this coming Tuesday so I'll have more updates then.

Earnings: $24.00 earned since 10/3

Cash Out Req: $40
__________
Wanelo

Wanelo was a huuuuge part of my earnings last month, primarily because I put the most amount of time into it though. They've since put limits on the earning potential but you can still earn $40 a month from them which is pretty nice overall. The site itself is wonderful and I'd recommend it to any parent out there. You'll get tons of great info on what items to buy and avoid for your little ones and yourself!

How it works: For the details please view this post. With the new restrictions, you can basically do 10 reviews per week, and every Friday you'll receive a $10 deposit from them via paypal. They only pay in full 10s though, so if you do 9 you'll have to do another and wait for the following week to earn your $10.

They also have special contests that allow you to earn more, and surprise rewards in different categories as well. I won a $5 award from them for "Favorite Collection" once!

Earnings: $105 earned since 10/15 Wanelo Proof of Payment

Cash Out Req: None, automatically sent weekly as long as you've completed 10 reviews that meet the requirements.
__________
~*~Surveys~*~
Surveys can take a bit of patience and a lot of dedication. The key is to not give up on them... it's like a seed - you have to plant it and nurture it and then it will give you fruit, shade, and happiness as it grows!
--------------
Survey Spot

SurveySpot has proven to be my worst experience so far. First of all, they send you tons of surveys, but only a small percentage of them are paying. On top of that I've found that a lot of the time I get 15 minutes into a survey before they tell me that "You don't qualify" for the survey. They also don't even keep an accessible record of your completed surveys on your account. This means that you have to keep your own record, and by the time you realize that - it's probably too late for you to do so accurately.

They also have the longest turn around time of any site I've come across saying that it can take "up to 8 weeks" for a survey to post to your account as completed.

This is the one site that I've come across so far, that I definitely do not recommend to anyone. I've heard claims that if you do the free surveys they send you more paying surveys, but I haven't been able to see that proven. I've even done a few free ones and I still rarely get paying surveys.

This one is a no go for me. I signed up on 9/26 and I'll admit that I haven't canceled my account, but that's really only because I want to see if anything ever posts to it as completed.
__________
SurveyHead

I personally have gotten the most action from SurveyHead. I get a decent number of surveys from them and I've earned a fair amount of money from completing them.

The downside to SurveyHead is that your earnings don't immediately post to your account and can take up to 6 weeks to process. I've seen much faster results though which several posting in 3-4 weeks, enough so that I could cash out after I'd been with them for less than a month which is a great sign to me. This tells me that my earnings with them will only increase over time because old surveys will begin to continuously validate and post to my available funds.

How it Works: Sign up, take surveys, earn $1-$5 for each completed survey. They may take up to 6 weeks to post, but all completed surveys are clearly listed on the site for you.

Earnings: Since 9/26/09 I've had $35.50 Post to my account with another $45.70 Pending - I requested my first payment of $25.50 on 10/21/09 and am still waiting for it to come through to my paypal, once it does I'll post the proof!

Cash Out Req: $25

Greenfield Online is one that I considered giving up on but they redeemed themselves in a big way. In a little over a month with them I've only qualified for one $1 survey of all the ones they've sent me BUT I have qualified for two $30 Interactive Surveys (they take around 90 minutes) in that time frame as well.

Aside from the obvious downside of having issues qualifying for their surveys, it can take a while for the Interactive Surveys to post to your account... up to 6 weeks to be exact. That made a me a little uncomfortable with the first one, but it showed up on my account with in a week, and when I cashed out it was in my paypal a few days later. I had taken the survey on 10/5, requested the cash out on 10/14 and had the money in my account on 10/19.

The second one has taken a bit longer though, and I'm afraid I may not get credit because my computer got turned off during it causing me to miss a few questions. I had called the survey's support number and they said everything should be fine though - so I'm doing my best to wait patiently. It's only been 10 days, so I'm holding tight. Even if it doesn't come through, I can't really blame them since I missed about 5-7 minutes of the 90 minute session.

How it Works: Sign up, take surveys, earn cash!

Earnings: Since 9/26/09 I've earned $31.00 and cashed out $30. Greenfield Online Proof of Payment

Cash Out Req: None

LightSpeed Panel has proven to be a great company as well. The concept is the same as the others but they reward you in points that you can convert to cash on paypal, Amazon gift cards, and more.

I don't see as many surveys from them as I'd like, they're not as plentiful as SurveyHead but I still get a decent amount. They also don't pay quite as much as some other sites do but I've managed to earn almost enough for a $20 cash out in about a month which is pretty good.

The great part of their site that makes up for the lower number of surveys is that when you finish a survey, you earn your reward immediately with no waiting at all. You can also cash out in smaller $5 increments, but I'm holding out for the $20 even though the pricing works out the same.

How it Works: Sign up, complete surveys, instantly earn your reward points, cash them out for whatever you'd like.

Earnings: Since 9/30/09 I've earned 2100/2300 points required for a $20 PayPal deposit.

Cash Out Req: None, just accumulate enough points for the prize you want!

TrekPay, PeopleString, ClixSense

TrekPay did their weekly conversion. This week I had 346 credits converted into 94¢ which is more than what I've made any of the previous weeks so that's a good sign.
__________
PeopleString is sending out real mail now! If you haven't signed up yet, do it now and if you are signed up, log in and click "Mailbox Cashbox" underneath your tools section to see what mail is on it's way to you! I personally have 9 pieces headed my way ranging from 25¢ to 50¢ a piece.
__________
I also signed up with ClixSense because it was recommended to me by a reader. I am not paying for a membership with them for the extra benefits and ads but so far I really like it and once I earn enough through the site to do it, I may consider it. There are a lot of ads up through out the day and I'm up to 35¢ after a day which isn't terrible for a PTC.

They do offer a referral program, but you only make a significant profit from it if the folks you refer get a premium account. The other downside to ClixSense is that they only pay through Check, and they take $3 off your balance as a processing fee - so I'd suggest letting your money with them accumulate way past the $10 balance before cashing out with them.
__________
Tomorrow will be my End o' the Month update on every program I've touched on since starting this blog. The good, the bad, and the ugly will all be included - although there's really only been one program that I've been genuinely displeased with so far.

Swagbucks

I just hit 45 Swagbucks and made my first request for $5 Amazon card. The information on when I'll receive it is a little vague. One part of the site says they post twice a month (on the 16th and 30th) the email says that they are posted with in 7-10 days.

Not too bad considering the lost time I had with Swagbucks. It still only took 12 days to get a card, so my prior estimate should be pretty on par at the current prices. It should be easy to earn 2-3 cards from them a month at this rate.

I'll post proof as soon as I get it!
__________
I started my KGB "training" today as well and I expect to finish it tomorrow. I assume I'll be working with them within a week since they say it can take a couple days to hear back from them after you take your training quiz.
__________
IMShopping contacted several people yesterday evening about their Shopping Assistant position and I was one of them! I'm excited to find out more about the position and pass it on to everyone. At the moment I have very minimal information though, basically all I know is that you get paid at least 35¢ per answer.

Supremely Busy!

I've been blowing around like a leaf in the wind for the past few days, and things don't seem to be slowing down at the moment so pardon the less than daily posts! Things should settle back down after Halloween, but right now we've got a lot of little family things going on that are keeping me a bit tied up... that's the great part about these kinds of "eggs" though. I can be busy, and still earn on my own schedule.

A couple brief notes...
A quick update, I completed a 500 point survey for Lightspeed earlier today! That's nearly $5 worth of points which is pretty awesome, although the survey was a bit tedious. I'm now at 2100/2300 points required for a $20 PayPal deposit. I'm hoping to reach the full 2300 by the end of October. The payment would count towards November because of the deposit date, but it would still be ideal to be able to reach that cash out level within a month of registration.
__________
I got my training email from KGB yesterday which means I now have less than 7 days to finish the process with them. The bad news is that I'm buuuuusy, the good news is that I now have a deadline to get involved with them and provide my feedback to you.
__________
Swagbucks is starting to grow on me, I'm still only using it casually - but I'm quickly approaching the 45 SB requirement for a $5 Amazon card. I'm still a bit more favorable towards iRazoo at the moment, but I think they both have the potential to provide a great little nest egg for gift buying. I see no reason to not make use of them both since they only take a few minutes a day and provide a pretty decent return.

One Month Anniversary!

It's been exactly a month since I started this blog and I'm really proud of the growth it's experienced and the help it's provided to others, as well as to myself.

This is another one of "those posts" where I say thanks for following along and encourage you to join in on the earning and leave comments - whether it's feedback, success stories, suggestions or whatever!

My dearly beloved still mocks my blogging, but I think even he's learning to appreciate it now that he's seeing me bring in enough income to cover some of our expenses ;)

Coming soon:
KGB I passed the test last night - just waiting on the email from them, I'm already a bit iffy though since they require actual scheduled hours which somewhat goes against the "do it in your spare time" goal of this blog.
A monthly review of all programs - AKA the reader's digest version of all my October entries.

Swagbucks (Detailed)

All right, if you're on any type of freebie, job, referral or moneymaking forum then chances are you've heard of Swagbucks. I decided it was time to check it out since it's everywhere and here's my experience so far (the good and the bad). I would recommend it over all but I'd also be careful what you use it for.

Swagbucks is a search engine site that randomly awards their currency (swagbucks) to users who run searches with them. You can also earn in other ways, like sending in old cell phones to be recycled (which is neat), referring friends, shopping through their links or following them on Twitter and Facebook to get special codes for swagbucks.

I signed up with them on October 16th to tinker with them some (mostly because I was really impressed by iRazoo's earning potential) but I didn't start using them until the 17th. Right now, after 8 days, I'm up to 21 Swagbucks, and I'm averaging about 2 a day from searching. Once in a while I get a code from somewhere to put in as well.

They have prizes of all types but my focus (as usual) will be on the gift cards.

They DO offer PayPal gift cards, however I do NOT recommend them. They run 70 pts (190 when not on sale, although I doubt this sale is uncommon) for a $5 PayPal card, or you can get an Amazon card for 45 pts (100 when not on sale). That makes the choice for me easy as pie. Since Amazon cards are nearly 1/2 the price of PayPal I'm obviously going to go for the Amazon cards. They're versatile and can buy toys, electronics, clothes, or even food so why bother with the overpriced PayPal cards. At the sale prices though you can get 1-2 easily a month with out any actual effort.

You can easily earn more than that if you refer people to join as well. You actually have two options if you decide to work on referrals. You can either join their affiliate program which pays a straight $1 per referral (not sure if there are any catches) or you can just use the regular referral link and earn SwagBucks whenever your referral earns them - up to 100 total. Even at non sale prices, that's still equal to a $5 Amazon card, if your referral doesn't lose interest before then. I personally would opt for the latter because it has a higher earning potential, but it is a slower turn around.

I did have my first bad experience with this kind of thing with Swagbucks though. On October 19th my account was banned (!!!) and I was pretty annoyed because I hadn't done anything wrong. (I was using it for my IMShopping research as a matter of fact.) I contacted customer service immediately and received a message the next day. Here's a general run down of how it went through the course of that day (all paraphrased of course):

Me: I'd like to know why my account was disabled, I wasn't cheating, my searches were legit. I never even received a warning pop up as your TOS says should happen if people are doing things that would trigger suspicion.
Swag: (Pre Written BS answer.) You were disabled for violating the TOS. We will reactivate your account but you need to reset your IP to use it.
(I had no intention of using the company because I had no intention of resetting my IP for them.)
Me: That response does not adequately answer my question. I need to know EXACTLY what I did so I will be sure not to do it again. I still believe I did nothing to violate TOS since I got no warning, and all I was doing was searching for items related to my Shopping Assistant position (no I'm not actually a shopping assistant with IMShopping but that was the best way to put it) that requires pricing and item comparison. In the event that no decent results showed, I would search for stores that I felt might be of help.
Swag: Our compliance dept. determined that you were Over-Clicking please search as you would normally.
Me: That response was just a shortened version of the unsatisfactory answer that you already sent me. Please tell me exactly what I did. Since I don't feel I was "over clicking", I need precise information so I'll know what to avoid doing in the future.
Swag: (this is a quote) "Unfortunately, the clear cut answer here is to not over search. If you are naturally searching and not over clicking on links you will be fine. If you are over clicking, clicking on every link possible you will be flagged for it." We do rarely make mistakes, it is possible you weren't doing this, I will note your account and if this happens again please contact us and we'll correct it.

At this point I still wasn't satisfied, but I figured I'd see if my account really had been enabled - it had AND it had been fixed so I didn't need to change my IP address. Since I was capable to log in and use the program without any further effort on my part, I decided I'd continue using Swagbucks so that at the very least I could write an informed blog post on it, with more than 2 days of use as background.

Needless to say I am no longer using this for IMShopping purposes because clearly their standards are a bit skewed. I may try working it back into my IMShopping work later, but I'm not sure. Right now I'm just using it in the evenings or whenever I need to do a random search in place of Google.

iRazoo and Trekpay

iRazoo: I just cashed out my points for my first $5 amazon card earlier this morning. I got an email confirming my order immediately, but no Gift Certificate yet - the email said it can take 30 days to receive gifts, however I doubt that applies to GC's. I'll be sure to mention when I get mine.
__________
Trekpay: They cashed out on Wednesday taking about 250 credits and converting it into 71¢ for me (up 1¢ from before). Still not an amazing conversion rate, but considering that all you really have to do is click a link and look for a symbol really quickly, it's not too bad.
__________
Overall I've had a really busy week so I haven't really approached as many new sites as I had hoped. I'm going to look into a few more eggs next week including SwagBucks, I've already started testing it out a bit. Swagbucks seems to be all the rage right now (search for random chances to win points) and possibly KGB, which has been recommended by a few readers, as well if time permits

Goooooooooal! (Update)

My goal for October was $200 and I just met my goal! I won't do a final tally until the end of the month when I do my program by program review, but here it is 9pm est on October 23rd and I've already earned $229 for the month. There's still more on it's way that could post before November as well.

I know it's not a lot of money, but it's enough to be a big help for my family and I'm really proud that I met my goal.

On top of that I've earned $50 worth of gift certificates, and I should be able to get another $5-10 worth of gift certificates before the end of the month as well!

I'm really happy, and I hope everyone out there is close to their goal as well! Feel free to comment and tell me (and everyone else) how these little eggs are helping you! I love the feedback and knowing that I'm helping others out. It's what keeps me from giving up and burning out when I get bored or discouraged.

If you have a program that you think I should check out, feel free to let me know as well. (I'm starting to compile a "to do" list of sites people recommend.)

Have a great weekend everyone and happy earning!

Update from Wanelo

Wanelo (Want Need Love) is a website for mothers (and parents in general) to review products that they have personal experience with. Whether it's baby products, toddler toys, PS3 games or margarita mixers.

Now that they've reached their goal, they're putting a limit on the number of paid reviews that can be done by each paid reviewer weekly. The limit will be 10 per week and you still have to meet the requirements that we've been working under already:
-Personal experience with the item
-110 words or longer (they say for a new item review that's 8 lines of text, for a review of a product already on the site it's 11 lines because the form is more narrow).
-Good spelling and grammar
-No foul language
They also have weekly contests with prizes ranging from $5-25. I won $5 last week for "Favorite Collection" which was pretty exciting.

If you haven't started writing paid reviews yet, I'd recommend finding one of my earlier Wanelo posts and checking out the job postings that are linked for them to see if you can still get on with them. I'll update my payment proof later tonight with the $5 prize as well as my second review payment once it comes through.

$40 a month is equal to 10% of my end goal for December - how much of your goal would it be?

SurveyHead

Just a quick update - I just hit $25.50 worth of posted surveys with SurveyHead (with almost $40 still pending). I've been with the site for less than a month and am already capable of cashing out. They do say that most surveys will take 4-6 weeks to post, but obviously I've seen quicker results since I haven't even hit the 4 week mark yet.

Initially I was going to wait a few days to request my cash out, but with the end of the month drawing near I'm going to go ahead and do it now. Their website says it can take 4 weeks for the payment to reach Pay Pal, but most of what I'm seeing online is that it takes less than 14 days. I want to test this for myself - I'm hoping it hits soon enough to count into my October goal total!

This one is definitely a keeper. Even at $25 a month that will still be a big push towards my monthly goal (12.5% of my goal for this month). I also think that the earning potential is just going to increase over time since things will be posting more consistently to my account than they were the first few weeks.

I average more than one completed survey per day with a very common demographic (white, female, I say single since I'm not actually married, young child, some college) and lately I've found myself turning away some surveys because of burn out. I actually just purposely disqualified myself for one because I didn't feel like doing it, then when I refreshed my page I saw that I had reached the minimum pay out because something new had been approved.

Needless to say that making the pay out quota has lit a fire under me to stop doing that now!

Updates!

PeopleString: I got my post card today, so for those of you who have signed up, it took about 3 weeks for me to get it. Now hopefully I'll start getting more mail!
__________
Cloud Crowd: They've got tasks up again! Hopefully that means things are almost all straightened out. Not all tasks are available, but some is better than none.
__________
GreenField Online: Turns out I got approved for the second $30 interactive survey! I found out this morning that I was accepted for the afternoon session they had today. I had a few technical difficulties that caused me to miss a few minutes of questions (read that as my son turned my hard drive off while playing!) but their tech support said that as long as I was there for most of the survey I would still be paid. I'll update when it posts (if it posts).

That's two $30 interactive surveys in a month that I've qualified, and one $50 that I missed out on. One on the 5th and one on the 20th - which is pretty awesome. I still haven't managed to qualify for one of their regular surveys, but I'd still recommend them just for these interactive surveys.
__________
Wanelo: They're up over 2000 reviews right now but I'm not sure how many of those are "qualifying" reviews so I'm going to keep writing until I hear otherwise. Hopefully they'll keep paying. Either way I did over 60 this week before they reached the 2k mark and one of my collections won $5 award! (Haven't been paid yet, I assume that will happen Friday with the review payments.)
__________
I'm super excited, the month is 2/3s over and I'm 3/4 of the way to my goal for October purely based off PayPal deposits and not including pending payments or gift cards.

It feels good to be contributing (even a little) and it's great to know that others are learning and earning as well!

iRazoo and Many Mini Updates

iRazoo is something that I just got started with a few days ago after being referred by a fellow blogger and I've worked it into my IMShopping routine. This site in no way will make you rich, BUT it will easily make you $15 a month in Amazon gift cards. Again, not overly impressive, and not real cash - but if you were to save your $15 a month from December to November you'd have an extra $180 worth of giftcards for Christmas shopping.

The way it works is that you sign up and get 50 points, and then you use their search box to look up whatever you're looking up. It takes you to a site and you get 4 points for grading the site, 4 points for commenting on it, and an extra 8 (or is it 4) points if someone else has graded it before you.

You can earn 300 points per day, and a $5 Amazon card is 3000 points. So every 10 days you can cash out! There's also a chance to win a gift card randomly while searching, but I've only been with them for 3 days so I haven't seen it happen yet. Either way $15 a month, even in giftcard form isn't bad since Amazon is such a versatile place to get pretty much anything.

I'm actually using it while I do my IMShopping questions and when I find an item for my bookmarklet, I just open that page in a new tab and add it.
__________
Since my post yesterday about IMShopping, I've had several more answers that were awarded "Best Answer". My total is now at $22 out of the $40 I need to cash out with them as a regular (non shopping assistant) member. I'm hoping to reach the $40 before they start hiring but I've been a bit busy so I haven't been meeting my personal 5 a day quota which might make it a bit harder.

I still think it's a great site and I look forward to them opening their new Shopping Assistant positions this month. One of the CMs actually announced today that they've lowered the hiring age to 16, so if you have teens at home who enjoy being on the computer and need some extra cash you should get them started now so they can reach the 25 question minimum for consideration. I don't know anything detailed about the position or pay, but it can't hurt to be prepared by meeting the qualifications.
__________
Cloud Crowd: Reports from Cloud Crowd are that they're still making improvements and work should be up again early this week. To check their forums, go to the facebook page, scroll down and click "Cloud Crowd" in the bottom left corner, click "Discussions" on the page that loads up after that and you can find updates from them and threads by other workers.
__________
I also recieved my $30 payment from GreenfieldOnline, I had requested the payment on the 14th and didn't expect it anywhere near this quickly so a big bravo there. I also received another offer for another $30 interactive study survey two days ago, but haven't heard back as to whether or not I've made the cut. (Payment Proof)

I still haven't been able to successfully complete a regular paying survey for them though hehe
__________
Wanelo is getting close to reaching the 2000 review mark as well which is the pending cut off for paid reviews (this could change in the future). I'm super sad because I was really enjoying this little egg and the thought of it expiring doesn't make me happy, but that's how it goes I suppose! Last I checked they were around the 1500 mark, so if you're planning to get in on this and earn a few bucks do it now! (Check my previous post on them for details.)

IMShopping

So I've been spending time on IMShopping a little more regularly lately. Nothing serious, but I've been answering 4-5 questions almost daily for the past few days.

I hold by my previous statement that it could be profitable to work on cash questions alone. 4 out of 5 that I did on Thursday (I think it was Thursday) won the $2 tip yesterday when they finished which is pretty awesome. Right now I've answered 22 questions, gotten best answer on 7 (some other answers are still pending), and gotten 6 additional thumbs up.

I've only been signed up since October 3rd, I haven't put consistent time into the site until recently, but I've still managed to earn $14 with them which is nearly a dollar a day. At that rate IMShopping could account for 7.5% of my end goal (or more) monthly.

Their community manager has also recently made an exciting announcement about hiring, and new ways to get paid:
IMshopping will begin hiring from our site starting on October 27th. We will be inviting community members to become paid Shopping Assistant Guides at that time. In order to be invited, you must answer 25 questions on our site to showcase your research skills.
View the full post here.

I do however think that their most recent update has decreased the number of tip questions though, because all the questions I asked used to pay $2 from the site, and they no longer do - so if you're looking to try and get hired, I'd suggest jumping in now!

ALikeList Update

I just received an update from the folks at ALikeList: They're ending the $25 gift certificate program on October 22nd, which is this Thursday.

If you requested an invite from me, and didn't receive it, it probably went to your spam. If you can't find it, just send me a new request here and then keep an eye on your mailbox (and spam). It would come from my personal email address with Gmail and the subject line would include ALikeList in it.

Remember to get your gift certificate you need to at at least 20 places to your Like List and get 3 new members to sign up, after you've done that you need to contact the staff with ALikeList and let them know the emails of the people you referred. If you need the contact email (I've sent it to everyone through the site, or in the invite), use the form above and let me know!

I received my gift certificate already (through email) here's the proof.

Wanelo - Temporary Project

This isn't exactly the type of thing that I'd normally post in my blog, but because this seems to be an off and on project with them, I feel like it might have the potential to be a steady income gig.

Here's a freelance style project for parents being offered by a new website (that I really enjoy) called Wanelo - Want Need Love.

I wanted to test it out before posting it, I made $20 writing reviews on Thursday night and Friday morning. (Payment Proof)
1. Go to Wanelo and register. Make sure to upload a profile picture. (Registration is very quick. Don't worry–we never send out spam or ask for any personal information.)
2. Email momreviews1@wanelo.com to let us know your Wanelo username BEFORE writing any reviews. In the email, please let us know your age, the ages of all of your children, and your location. If you are hired, instructions for writing reviews will be emailed to you.

(Only the first 2000 qualifying reviews will be paid as of this posting.)

Qualifying reviews must be:

- in English
- between 110-130 words in length
- products reviewed must be products for babies, toddlers, older children, or specifically for parents.
- relevant to the product the review is about
- free of any curse words
- must employ good spelling and grammar

Updates!

Trekpay did their credit to cash conversion on Wednesday, unfortunately my computer had self rebooted over night so I'm not sure how many credits I had before the conversion. I'll also admit to slacking on this a little bit throughout the week and checking back for extra ads as often as normal. I'll pick up the slack this week!

I believe the rate was around the same as last week, roughly 250-300 credits for 70¢ but my profile page now tells me that I've moved up in rank, so hopefully that means the value of my credits will go up.
____________
If you haven't signed up with LiveWork yet, then I highly recommend doing so ASAP, I just got word yesterday that the new Query work should be up "soon" granted soon is a relative term. I've been getting impatient personally so I'm really hoping that soon means next week at the latest.
____________
Cloud Crowd has been busy making improvements to their system, so work has been scarce - hang in there though, there's more coming soon including something about singing according to one of their recent payment notes.

I really think that this one is worth the wait.

For an explanation of what's going on you can read this official letter from them.
____________
I also reached the $10 point range with LightSpeed Panel. Within less than 24 hours of posting that I was at 850 points I gained another 300 giving me just enough to cash out $10 - I'm holding off though to see if I can get to the $20 mark soon enough to include it in my October cash totals.

Goal Check!

October is officially half way over, and I figured it was time for me to do an update on my goal progression for the month.

My goal for October was to earn $200 by the end of the month through freelance work, sites, and other projects that I mention here. For the sake of simplicity I'm just going purely off of deposits made into my paypal account and monies sent to me in check form for the month at hand.

This means that pending payments and checks that are in the mail to me will not be included. Only cash that I already have access to will be tallied. It is important to note though, that with any Freelance or IC work I do will also count for whatever month I receive payment during. So even if a project ends at the ended at the end of September, but didn't pay out until October - it would count in for October.

Right now, I'm thrilled (and proud) to say that I'm right on par with my goal! Half way through the month and my PayPal balance is at $102.97 with the first deposit of the month being from YouData on October 2nd.

Here's the breakdown so far (cash totals may differ slightly from earned totals because of PayPal fees):

YouData: $1.97
LiveWork: $66.19
Cloud Croud: $34.81

Total: $102.97

I'm really proud of this, although it isn't a full time income - it's a great start especially since I'm just starting out with these programs and many of them (like Cloud Crowd) will be expanding and growing with me over time as well.

Thanks so much for sticking by me and keeping me encouraged, feel free to comment and share your input and successes!

"Maintenance"

I'm tinkering with my format, so if you refesh and the blog is suddenly totally different, don't be alarmed ;)

Survey Spot, Greenfield Online and Lightspeed Panel

Three quick survey site reviews, I've been working with them for a few weeks (since around the same time I started with SurveyHead) and I'm finally at a point where I feel like I can comment on them. None of them offer a referral program, so all of your earnings are purely based off of survey participation.

GreenFieldOnline: This one is a blessing and a curse. Would I recommend it? Yes!

First, I've been with them around three weeks now and am yet to actually qualify for an actual paying survey which is ridiculous to me.

BUT in that three weeks I did manage to qualify for a $30 "interactive survey panel". It was on October 5th and lasted a little over 90 minutes. It didn't credit into my account immediately so I didn't want to mention it, but it has since credited and I requested a PayPal deposit today. I don't expect the deposit until next month (they're a little slow) but still $30 for under 100 minutes of work is pretty darn good.

I received another chance to qualify for a panel today (for $50 this time) but I didn't qualify :(
___________
SurveySpot: Would I recommend them? At this time I can emphatically say No! I'm still waiting for the light at the end of the tunnel with this one. Most of the surveys they send out are just for "sweepstakes entries" which I'm not interested in really. When you do get a paying survey, and are capable of completing it, I'd recommend writing down the survey info.

They do NOT keep a record of what you complete readily available for you to view like others do. The money from surveys can take up to 6-8 weeks to post to your Rewards section and until that happens you just don't know if you'll get credit or not. In the 3 weeks that I've been with them nothing has posted to my account, and I didn't keep track of the surveys I qualified for and how much they were worth so I have no idea if I'm going to get shafted or not.

If I continue on with them, I'll be keeping tabs from now on.
___________
LightSpeedPanel: Would I recommend them? Yes!

This is probably ranked number two for me. Below Surveyhead but a step above Greenfield purely because I can never qualify for their regular surveys.

I've been with them since September 30th, my first survey credit was done on October 1st. In a course of 14 days I've managed to earn 845 points with them from their surveys. (Honestly, I could have earned more but I clicked the wrong button on a 300 point survey and hit enter before I realized it, and ended up disqualifying myself from it. Darn Philies game distracting me! If I'd finished that survey I'd have made $10 by now!)

They give points for awards, and honestly the value per survey is a little low - but the points add up quickly. They also have a quarterly $5000 drawing that you earn entries to when you qualify for the paying surveys. They offer different prizes you can turn in points for, including a wide array of gift certificates most of which are 550 points per 5 dollar increment.

Cash Conversion Rates:
$5 on PayPal = 575 points
$10 on PayPal = 1150 points
$20 on PayPal = 2300 points

IMShopping and IMReportCard

So I started putting a bit of time into a new find. IMShopping is a site where you can ask questions about merchandise and/or answer questions about merchandise.

Supposedly they select people periodically to become "Shopping Assistants" which means that you get money for each question you answer. However, until you're selected to do that (don't ask what the qualifications are, I don't know and neither does anyone I talk to) you can answer questions for "tips" of up to $2. To actually get the tip you have to be selected as the best answer.

I've only messed around on the site a little bit, answered 9 questions, and I've won best answer on 2 of those! The 9 I've answered also includes one I did before I had a clue what I was doing. Once you reach $40 you can cash out.

I think that if you put some decent time into it, it could be profitable. I haven't done it yet, but I plan on creating a schedule for myself and putting an hour into IMshopping daily to see what kind of turn around I can get from it.

Here's the first question that I was selected a winner for: Where can I buy a chemistry set for my daughter? at IMshopping

_____
Another site I've come across that has potential is IMReportCard. This is a site for grading and reviewing all kinds of financial oriented websites and programs. You get points for everything you do on the site, and you also earn points for anything your referrals do.

You get 50-150 points for writing a comment on a review, 10 points for grading a site, 1 point for rating other comments - etc. Each point is worth 1¢ and when you reach 2000 points ($20) you can cash out.

The site is legit, and has great earning potential BUT before you can do any rating you have to comment on something and get your comment approved. That's the hard part. It took me a couple weeks to come up with something that I could comment on because you have to have first hand detailed knowledge of it - and most of the more familiar ones (like TrekPay, YouData, etc) are closed because they've gotten enough comments already.

Regardless, at the very least, it's a good site for background checking sites before you sign up with them.

ALikeList and Crowd Cloud

Just a quick couple of updates.

First I've been sending out invites to everyone who has contacted me about ALikeList and the $25 Super Certificate from GiftCertificates.com.

Last night though it was brought to my attention by a fellow blogger, that their invite had gone to their spam folder! The user was a gmail member, so if you're still waiting on your invite and you used a gmail address, please check your spam. The subject should read something along the lines of "Check out AlikeList - a new way to find local businesses".

If you still can't find it in your spam then feel free to request another invite.

I know some gmail users found their invite without a hitch because they signed up very quickly after I sent it, but some still have invites sitting in pending status.
____________
Cloud Crowd is still going strong! I've made $30 since I started (proof), and I've never spent more than a half hour on the site in a day. I didn't actually fiddle with it much over the weekend though because of the maintenance they're doing.

Right now they're working on fixing a few different bugs and putting in some anti cheat precautions. Apparently a lot of scammers were just going through the work and putting in gibberish, approving incorrect work, and passing completely unedited work.

Not only is this harmful to the whole set up, but it was hurting the Credibility rating of the legit workers, and it was taking away money from us at the same time since these cheaters were getting it instead of us.

They're doing a few updates so tasks may be unavailable for a day or two, but you should still sign up ASAP so that you can start building up your Cloud Crowd and can jump right in when the work gets reopened.

It shouldn't be long from now, and they've also said that they have a data entry project coming up in the near future!

As soon as one of the project managers updates us, I'll update you ;)

YouData, Cloud Crowd, and a Weekend Off ;)

Just a quick post to say that I got my second payment from YouData (7¢ lol) and my third payment from Cloud Crowd ($9.45)!

I'll update the payment proof for both of them on Monday.

Since we've seen that Cloud Crowd does indeed pay out regularly, I won't be blogging about every payment - I'll just update the totals in my sidebar for it each day instead and add the proof to the album that's linked there as well. I'll only blog about it on special occasions ;) I will mention though, that they're doing maintenance over the weekend so they've announced that the jobs won't be quite as plentiful during this time frame, so don't be alarmed.

I still have the ability to invite people to ALikeList for the $25 gift certificate opportunity (check my last couple posts for details). Just fill out the form linked in the posts below to get your invite.

I'm going to take it easy on the blog this weekend. I'm really thrilled to see that I'm helping people out. I've gotten a few new followers this week, people are starting to leave comments, and there has been a steady stream of 100+ unique visitors coming in over the past few days.

It's exciting, and fulfilling to know that I'm providing information, leads, and help to so many people who can use it.

But - I don't want anyone who is following along on my journey to get overwhelmed, and I don't want to burn out - so I'm going to take today and tomorrow off... I bet that I'm actually going to have to force myself not to post haha

Have a great weekend everyone!

LiveWork, ALikeList, Cloud Crowd

ALikeList - I still have open invitations for people who want to earn a $25 Gift Certificate through them. They've actually extended the offer by a level, which means now MY recruits can earn it, and THEIR recruits can earn it! So I recruit Jenny, she can earn it, and if Jenny recruits John so can he, but whoever John recruits will not be eligible to earn it.

To send you an invite I do need an email address for you, I will not use it for any purpose other than sending the invite through the ALikeList form and forwarding your email address to the person in charge of the $25 Gift Certificates so they can mark you as eligible and qualified once you fulfill your goals.

The goals again are 1) Add 20 places to your Like List (this takes 10 minutes) and 2) Recruit three additional people to the program.

It's really simple, the site is really great (especially for those who enjoy supporting stores/doctors/schools that they feel are good quality), and the staff is the most amazing that I've ever dealt with. When you send in a concern to them, it's an actual warm blooded human person that responds - not prefilled cookie cutter responses.

To request an invite click here and fill out the form, once I send the invite I'll delete the form response from my email and that'll be the end of that, no need to worry about anything else coming from me unless you contact me.

CloudCrowd is proving to be really great. I got my second payout of $8.23 from them today since they pay daily via PayPal, I've added the payment proof to the appropriate folder on imageshack. (Payment Proof).

I'd really recommend getting in on this one now and building up your reputation with them early on because so far it seems really solid and getting in with a good program like this early on can be really exciting.

LiveWork finally paid out for the queries I did last month. It totaled up to $68.48. Just a reminder, this is a freelance site run by the folks who do LiveOps (legit telecommuting company). They hire folks as IC's (independent contractors) which means you have to save your own taxes to pay since they aren't deducted - but the work is easy and the pay is decent. I did Query work - which basically means you join a team, get a list of search queries like "1986 Cubs" or "free tote bag patterns", you look up some info on them, write a quick 5-7 sentences about the query and put a link in for more info at another site. You get about 64¢ each. At first it seems terrible because you start off slow, but once you relax you can knock out 12-15 an hour which is nice money.

The downside is that you don't get paid until the team finishes the project and the work is approved. In this case there were a few complications with people plagiarizing so it took a little longer. The projects ended on 9/29, and payment came through on PayPal earlier this evening, so it was about 9 days turn around. I assume it'd be a lot quicker normally. (Payment Proof)

There's also other freelance work available through them that pays by task or by the hour.

Update: TrekPay, Cloud Crowd, ALikeList (Special Offer for $25 Gift Cert)

Shortest first, TrekPay did the cash conversion late yesterday evening for me. I was sitting at about 401 Credits, they took 300 and turned it into 70¢. So the conversion for this week was roughly .23 cents per credit - not what I was hoping for, but since I'm just starting I have rock bottom conversion rankings. It can only go up from here!
___________
Cloud Crowd: I mentioned Cloud Crowd recently and sat down and put some time into it. It's an easy source of income. I haven't invested a lot of time into it, but I'm making more than a dollar a day just to sit down and grade a couple of websites each day.
The tasks they currently offer are:
  • Find foreign manufacturer websites
  • Grade websites found by other users
  • Rewrite text on websites found by other users
  • Grade the rewrites done by other users
The pay varies depending on which task you choose, and the demand that they have for that type of work. They recently bumped the Rewrites up to $2.00 (from $1.50) and dropped the others a couple cents each.

I got paid last night for the first time (since I hadn't joined on Monday night until they'd already paid out). I've posted payment proof on ImageShack for everyone to see. They pay out every night through PayPal.

This is a really great egg for anyone, no matter what type of task you go for. People are making $10, $20, or even $50 a day in reasonable amounts of time. I figure even if I only make a dollar a day, that's $31 this month which is over 10% of my goal for October! How close can Cloud Crowd get you to your goal?
______________
And finally, I have a special offer that's only available directly through me:

ALikeList, is the site I mentioned in my previous post that's in it's Beta stages right now. The basic idea of the site is that users are able to give positive reviews to all kinds of establishments/shops in their area and other areas they are familiar with.

This includes restaurants (family owned and national chains), grocery stores, hospitals/fire departments (and who deserves praise more than your local firemen - especially the volunteers?), and a whole array of other shops and stores. Even the smallest of mom and pop shops can be found on their site. It's incredibly impressive how thorough the site is.

On top of the great site quality, their staff is amazing. After signing up yesterday with a goal of reviewing 20 places and recruiting 3 new folks to their site for a $25 gift certificate, I decided I had better double check with them to make sure the offer was legit.

As it turned out, the offer itself wasn't available directly through them - it was actually an offer from a 3rd party site that I don't associate with. One of their staff spent their day wrapped up in correspondence with me, and the lovely lady who had referred me as well - and came to the following conclusion.

Not only would she and I be able to earn our $25 gift certificates, but so would anyone we refer! (Their referrals however would not be eligible.) This is a limited time offer though, and you do have to go directly through an invite from me to be eligible. You can check out the site through the link above, but to be eligible to earn the $25 gift certificate I have to actually use their invite tool to send an official invitation to you via email.

Once you've signed up, I will be able to forward your email to the site owners so they can track your progress and get you your SuperCertificate after you've added 20 businesses to your LikeList and referred 3 folks to the site.

You can use this link to send me safely send me your email, without anyone else seeing it.

Another Couple of "For Fun" Sites

I'm unsure of the status of this one currently, but am researching it. The site itself is of good quality and I'm really impressed with their staff as well, but it seems the gift certificate offer was not through them directly. I will update when I find out more.

I just stumbled into a new beta site that is giving out $25 gift certificates to new members who complete 2 simple tasks.

Step one, find 20 businesses on their website that you're familiar with and give them good feedback. This took me about 15 minutes to do because I started blanking out on companies that I really wanted to promote. You can choose to comment on small business, restaurants, auto shops, hospitals, pretty much anything - it's really an interesting idea.

The variety of places they have listed on the site is really impressive as well. For example, they include a small shop owned by my boyfriend's father - it's tiny, and maybe a year old, but is still available for review on their site. They include small family run shops as well as chain grocers, and even fire companies make the list!

Step two is just as simple, refer 3 additional users to the site so that they can spread the word about the places they love as well.

-------
I also signed up for Lockerz which is similar to ClubBing in that you earn points and turn them in for really awesome prizes (mp3 players, digital cameras, etc), however the point accrual is slower so the prizes are cheaper. It only takes a couple minutes to log in and earn points, but they are an invitation only site. It took me a while to track down someone to invite me, but I finally did earlier today. They're doing some pre launch maintenance today so the site may be up and down a bit.

I've earned 34 ptz (their term for points) today by logging in, answering their daily questions (which happened to be what blog do you visit most often lol), and playing a simple game where ptz fall from the top of the browser and you move the mouse back and forth to catch as many as you can. All that took less than 5 minutes.

The prize I'm currently eying (although I haven't looked at them all) is a Sony Cybershot 12.1 megapixel camera for 500 ptz. They also have video games for 100 ptz, game systems for 250-375, make up, jewelry, and many other prizes.

Unfortunately, both sites lack actual referral links which makes it a bit of a pain - current users actually have to email out an invite from the site using their form. If you're interested enter your email here and tell me what you want an invite to (both or just one, doesn't matter to me)

I'll send your invite(s) as soon as I get your form :)

Feel free to include any other info you'd like... comments on my blog (good or bad), inspirational stories, improvement ideas, etc.

Cloud Crowd

I joined up with a new program today called Cloud Crowd. It's not like anything I've done before, but it's really quite simple for the most part. It's an application on FaceBook, but don't worry it doesn't actually put an app on your page, or even post that you joined the app so you don't have to worry about people wondering what you're up to lol .

The basis of it is that you review websites that are non US, rewrite info from their pages to make it more understandable, or other things of that nature. Tasks are paid out daily through PayPal and range from 5¢ to $1.50. I personally made 30¢ in just a couple of minutes testing it out.

It's pretty excellent overall and a nice little egg to keep in your basket, especially since you can do some of the tasks in less than a minute whenever you stop by your computer to check on something.

They are a new company as well, so keep in mind that there will probably be a larger variety of tasks available in the near future.

I'm also really looking forward to seeing my first cash conversion with TrekPay, I'm up to 362 credits right now and it's been less than a week. They do the conversion between Tuesday and Thursday of each week, I was hoping it'd happen today (that's why my post is so late) but it didn't - hopefully it will tomorrow and I can start tracking conversion rates for everyone :)

I hope everyone's doing well, and finding helpful info here - thanks so much for reading, clicking, signing up, and keeping me inspired!

((As a side note, unrelated to the general concept of this blog - but still related to being a WAHM I heard back from two phone jobs I applied with that I've made it to the next step! Neither of them are the one I really wanted to hear back from, but I'm still happy I finally heard back from someone. I'll add little blurbs here and there about that issue to my posts, but none of those earnings will be added into my goal tally.))

Weekend Update

Don't worry! I haven't forgotten about you guys (or my goal!) I just had a busy weekend...

Just a quick update.

I'm really impressed with TrekPay so far, unless the credit to cash ratio is absolutely terrible, I can't see anything bad about this site. I'm up to over 220 credits in less than a week and the process is so incredibly speedy (unless the site in general is going slow). I look forward to seeing what that equates to later this week. When you sign up, remember to log out and back in if your ads aren't getting credited properly. I look forward to seeing what that equates to later this week.

I also joined a new site this weekend:

ClubBing - This is a purely for fun, take a break, type of site. There's no referral credit for this site, so what you earn is based purely off your own work. You actually get some really awesome prizes for playing games though. Play games for tickets (1000 per day max), turn them into awesome prizes (including video games, software like Microsoft Word, cook books from FoodNetwork personalities, etc), rinse and repeat.

What I haven't figured out is when/if games reset after you complete them... they definitely don't do so on a daily timer perhaps it's weekly? If they don't then the earning process may get a little tedious over time, but so far it's been quick and easy.

I'm shooting for a new MP3 player for my SO for Christmas :)

TrekPay and CashCrate

I signed up with TrekPay last night through another person's referral link. It's got a lot of positive reviews so even though it doesn't give any concrete numerical per click cash exchange values, I went ahead and jumped on board to try it out. (I joined about a day or two too late to see what last week's exchange rate was though.)

My credit accrual so far:
Week One: 300 Credits = 70¢
Week Two: Approximately 250-300 Credits = 70¢

The way it works is that you view their ads, and accrue credits, and once a week they convert credits into cash for you to cash out. The amount of money that each credit is worth is based on how much TrekPay earns.

I think the money making potential is pretty decent. I earned 21 credits last night after signing up, and am up to 42 credits now after the reset.

It's a speedy process, just click the link browse the page quickly to make sure the TrekPay symbol isn't on it to be clicked, then go back and click the next link. You may occasionally need to click an ad, but even that just takes a second to do. You don't have to remain on any page for any specific amount of time.

They say you can earn up to $50 a week off credit earnings. I'll be tracking each week's exchange rate in this post in the future.
__________

I also signed (back) up for CashCrate, I was a member with them before and made about $24 days in a couple of days with them. They're an oldy, but a goody! They do pay out, they have lots of offers, and aside from having to click through a lot of pages rejecting additional offers, they aren't too bad to handle.

Right now I'm taking it slow so I don't burn out like I did that first time, but if you're interested in jetting through all the offers, you can earn a decent chunk of change in just a day.

They have over 10 pages of "free" offers with different values ranging from 30¢ to $1 or more per completed offer.

I honestly recommend setting up an alternate email address to use for CashCrate though because you do tend to get some random spam after completing some of their offers. You also get notified each time an offer posts to your account as successfully completed.

September Recap

So I probably went about this backwards (lol) posting my October goals out of pure excitement before summarizing my September experiences. Oops!

September Recap:
Site || Date Started || Amount Earned in Sept.
SurveyHead Started || 9/26 || $8.00 (+$11.00 pending)
NeoBux (PTC) || 9/21 || 66.5¢
YouData (PTC) || 9/21 || $1.94
PeopleString || 9/29 || $2.03
SuperNovaBux (PTC) || 9/28 || 17.5¢

I also signed up with AlertPay in case I decide to join up with a site that prefers them over PayPal (although PayPal will remain my preferred method on sites that give an option.)

I joined LiveWork to pick up freelance job opportunities, remember their work is Independent Contract work so you'll have to file a W9.

I also applied with a few other work from home companies that won't be included in my goal tally since they may require phone work (although I will let you guys know if I hear back from them lol).

I want this blog to be about work that anyone can do. Whether you have a 4 year old little boy that runs around making car noises all day, a two year old little girl who sings Disney songs, or a newborn that requires constant attention, or if you just don't like phone work ;)

I'll be updating again later today with another site I've joined, but before I do that, I want to thank everyone who has been reading. I've had a couple people use my referral links, and I'm super thankful to you. I also have a new follower! Both of these things make me happy, because I know that it means I'm getting the word out, and that other people are benefiting from what I'm doing.

So thank you all, whether you just read, or you sign up, or you add me to follow, thank you for helping me stay inspired!
