March Goals

legitimate work at from home jobs divider

All right, I'm keeping it short and simple once again, just in case the chaos of February isn't done with me yet.  The biggest catch is that my birthday is this month which most likely means that I'll have at least 2 to 3 different birthday related dinners with different people.
  1. Make $1000 of spendable cash after fees.  I was tempted to raise this to make up for February, but I think that would probably just put a lot of unnecessary pressure on me.

February Goals

legitimate work at from home jobs divider

I'm going to keep my goals for the month short and simple because I feel like I really need to focus on one thing at a time until I can get back into a heavily motivated and productive state of mind.  So without further ado, here are my goals for February!
  1. Earn $1000 in spendable cash, after fees.
  2. Launch my business site.  I already have the domain, all I need to do is figure out what sort of graphics I want and how I want to design it.  I'm a little jaded at the moment and can't figure out what sort of images (if any) would be best...
Hopefully by narrowing down my goals to two I will be able to put some serious time in on my business site and get it fully operational this month.

January Goals

After last month's experiences with legitimate work at home freelance work and other eggs, I'm a little worried that I won't be able to repeat those same results of earning $1200 and I don't want to lose the motivation so I'm setting my goals up around that area.

Since I've been working on a new blog and a new layout I'm already a bit behind for the month but I've decided that my goals should still be high so here they are!

January 2010 Goals:
  1. Earn at least $1000 so that I won't lose my motivation after the immense success that December blessed me with.
  2. Keep working on organization and time management.
  3. Get in gear on my residual income goals since I haven't yet started and hopefully get the blog up and running for it as well.

A New Year Means New Goals

legitimate work at from home jobs divider

I haven't completely pinpointed my goals for the new year, but I do have a brief outline of the things I hope to accomplish in 2010.  Here's a rough draft, just so you guys know what to expect out of me as the new year progresses.

1.  Start working on "Residual Income" writing.  There will be a new blog to track the details, but I'll also have basic updates here.

December Goal Review

With the closing of December comes my monthly "Goal Review" where I take a look at the month and decide whether or not I have done the things I set out to do. This month, overall I am pretty thrilled with my results. I still need to do a bit of tweaking, but considering this is my 3rd month back in the working from home world and my second month really trying to do freelance work, I am really happy.

1. Earn $400 this month. Check! This was completely blown out of the water. While I don't have the breakdown created yet, I do have pending total for the month. I am still waiting on one payment that should come through today and this doesn't count the checks I received, but right now my earnings stand at $1,154.31 for December! So much for it being a slow month!

December Goals

All right I'm sorry these are up so late, but here they are! I decided to opt for fewer goals this month so that I can really focus on them and hopefully get into a good routine, so they are super basic.

1. Earn $400 this month. This one was preset at the very beginning of the blog, so the amount is going to stay the same. I am going to try a lot harder to earn a lot more with my side eggs this month which leads me to goal two...

2. Manage and schedule my time better! If I can balance my time better then I can earn more.... it is as simple as that. Unfortunately, I am finding it a lot harder than expected to do that, but I know that it's a task that many of us have issues with. I hope to be able to find some good time management methods that can benefit me, and everyone else as well.

November Goals

Phew, what a day! I haven't even made my goals post yet, and I've already accomplished some of them - that's what I call a good start to the month. This month my goals are more multifaceted than they were for October since I was just starting out at the time. I'm still taking baby steps though to make sure I don't bite off more than I can chew.

So here they are, my goals for the month of November:

1. This is the obvious one, predetermined at the birth of this blog - to earn $300 worth of spendable cash by the end of the month. That means that only money that makes it to my bank account or PayPal account will be included in the tally.

2. Create (and consistently utilize) a daily schedule. I've taken on a lot of little eggs, and now it's time for me to focus more on nurturing them while still adding a couple to the stash. Each egg requires a certain amount of attention and it's time to find out how much so I can maximize my earnings.

3. Sign up with a freelance writing site and write at least 4 articles during the month to start getting my feet wet. Technically I've already started working on this one with Textbroker - I signed up and was accepted yesterday and I submitted my first article. I'm waiting to see if it makes the cut or not. I'm toying with the idea of setting up with a residual income sight like Associated Content as well though.

(Oh! They accepted my article - the acceptance email mentioned something about revising and rating the article in 2-7 days, but they seem much quicker than the estimates they give from what I've seen. Regardless, I've gotten $4 in my account for my 400 word article, which is great since they allow you to request payouts at as little as $10.)

4. Find a new private contract freelance gig. Technically I've accomplished this as well and am doing a trial run today, but I don't think I want to count it for this goal because even though it was already on my mental goal list, the job came into existence before I officially made this post.

All right, I think that was all of my goals for the month, or at least I hope it was! Time to get busy working on that schedule - too bad I'm better at making them than I am at sticking to them hehe

What are your goals for November?

Goooooooooal! (Update)

My goal for October was $200 and I just met my goal! I won't do a final tally until the end of the month when I do my program by program review, but here it is 9pm est on October 23rd and I've already earned $229 for the month. There's still more on it's way that could post before November as well.

I know it's not a lot of money, but it's enough to be a big help for my family and I'm really proud that I met my goal.

On top of that I've earned $50 worth of gift certificates, and I should be able to get another $5-10 worth of gift certificates before the end of the month as well!

I'm really happy, and I hope everyone out there is close to their goal as well! Feel free to comment and tell me (and everyone else) how these little eggs are helping you! I love the feedback and knowing that I'm helping others out. It's what keeps me from giving up and burning out when I get bored or discouraged.

If you have a program that you think I should check out, feel free to let me know as well. (I'm starting to compile a "to do" list of sites people recommend.)

Have a great weekend everyone and happy earning!

SurveyHead

Just a quick update - I just hit $25.50 worth of posted surveys with SurveyHead (with almost $40 still pending). I've been with the site for less than a month and am already capable of cashing out. They do say that most surveys will take 4-6 weeks to post, but obviously I've seen quicker results since I haven't even hit the 4 week mark yet.

Initially I was going to wait a few days to request my cash out, but with the end of the month drawing near I'm going to go ahead and do it now. Their website says it can take 4 weeks for the payment to reach Pay Pal, but most of what I'm seeing online is that it takes less than 14 days. I want to test this for myself - I'm hoping it hits soon enough to count into my October goal total!

This one is definitely a keeper. Even at $25 a month that will still be a big push towards my monthly goal (12.5% of my goal for this month). I also think that the earning potential is just going to increase over time since things will be posting more consistently to my account than they were the first few weeks.

I average more than one completed survey per day with a very common demographic (white, female, I say single since I'm not actually married, young child, some college) and lately I've found myself turning away some surveys because of burn out. I actually just purposely disqualified myself for one because I didn't feel like doing it, then when I refreshed my page I saw that I had reached the minimum pay out because something new had been approved.

Needless to say that making the pay out quota has lit a fire under me to stop doing that now!

Updates!

PeopleString: I got my post card today, so for those of you who have signed up, it took about 3 weeks for me to get it. Now hopefully I'll start getting more mail!
__________
Cloud Crowd: They've got tasks up again! Hopefully that means things are almost all straightened out. Not all tasks are available, but some is better than none.
__________
GreenField Online: Turns out I got approved for the second $30 interactive survey! I found out this morning that I was accepted for the afternoon session they had today. I had a few technical difficulties that caused me to miss a few minutes of questions (read that as my son turned my hard drive off while playing!) but their tech support said that as long as I was there for most of the survey I would still be paid. I'll update when it posts (if it posts).

That's two $30 interactive surveys in a month that I've qualified, and one $50 that I missed out on. One on the 5th and one on the 20th - which is pretty awesome. I still haven't managed to qualify for one of their regular surveys, but I'd still recommend them just for these interactive surveys.
__________
Wanelo: They're up over 2000 reviews right now but I'm not sure how many of those are "qualifying" reviews so I'm going to keep writing until I hear otherwise. Hopefully they'll keep paying. Either way I did over 60 this week before they reached the 2k mark and one of my collections won $5 award! (Haven't been paid yet, I assume that will happen Friday with the review payments.)
__________
I'm super excited, the month is 2/3s over and I'm 3/4 of the way to my goal for October purely based off PayPal deposits and not including pending payments or gift cards.

It feels good to be contributing (even a little) and it's great to know that others are learning and earning as well!

Goal Check!

October is officially half way over, and I figured it was time for me to do an update on my goal progression for the month.

My goal for October was to earn $200 by the end of the month through freelance work, sites, and other projects that I mention here. For the sake of simplicity I'm just going purely off of deposits made into my paypal account and monies sent to me in check form for the month at hand.

This means that pending payments and checks that are in the mail to me will not be included. Only cash that I already have access to will be tallied. It is important to note though, that with any Freelance or IC work I do will also count for whatever month I receive payment during. So even if a project ends at the ended at the end of September, but didn't pay out until October - it would count in for October.

Right now, I'm thrilled (and proud) to say that I'm right on par with my goal! Half way through the month and my PayPal balance is at $102.97 with the first deposit of the month being from YouData on October 2nd.

Here's the breakdown so far (cash totals may differ slightly from earned totals because of PayPal fees):

YouData: $1.97
LiveWork: $66.19
Cloud Croud: $34.81

Total: $102.97

I'm really proud of this, although it isn't a full time income - it's a great start especially since I'm just starting out with these programs and many of them (like Cloud Crowd) will be expanding and growing with me over time as well.

Thanks so much for sticking by me and keeping me encouraged, feel free to comment and share your input and successes!

October Goals

A new month, a full month...

That means I have a whole 4 weeks to try and reach a goal, the question is what will my goal be? My long term goal, is to be able to earn $400 a month by 2010. That gives me October, November and December, so I think the most logical stepping stool would be $200 for October, $300 for November, and (of course) $400 for December.

So here I'll state my goal, plain and simple, on the record, for everyone to see. I'll edit this post once a week to show my progress.

Goal: To earn $200 during the month of October 2009 through my blog and the sites listed in it.

Progress:

While I am still looking for a telecommuting job, anything earned in that manner will not be included in the totals. My goal is to do it purely through my blog, GPT/Survey sites, and other Freelance work.

More updates coming later today...
